Bar Eleven Jan 5th
We played a great show last night with our good friends in Ruines ov Abaddon, Imbalanced, Eukaryst, and The Midas Touch. Lots of new faces, old friends, and energy. This was our debut show with John Michael Cordes on drums and Pat Sissom acting as rhythm guitar.
Now we're getting back to the grind of perfecting remaining arrangements and tightening up the performances so we can get into the studio and finally record them!

A Triumph of the Mind
Here we are, still plugging along towards what is to be the debut Ashen Earth record. Right now I'm writing lyrics for a new song under the working title "Triumph." We have a lot of songs that are focused on the negativity an absurdities of life, but not this one. This is a call to action. A rousing scream to our better sensibilities. Truth, reason, and evidence will prevail, despite the difficulty of arriving to that end. All very fun stuff.
We had a BBQ and joint band practice with the guys from Ruines ov Abaddon in honor of Sir Pat's birthday. Good times were had by all. We also have a show in the works for what is looking like early January to test out some of the new material. Check the Facebook for updates to that end.

Practice Makes Perfect
Ah, yes. Tonight we head to the practice space to continue preparation for the album. Mr. John Michael Cordes and Sir Pat Sissom are coming along swiftly in learning the songs, getting everything tighter and tighter. Working on some newer material tonight that we haven't played live yet. A song called False Revelation. Good uptempo jam, very heavy and groovy. Lyrics are about the dangers of eugenics and the racial and societal complications that should be considered when talking about eliminating certain things from the gene pool, the ways in which people would abuse and harm others in their search for perfection.
We plan on making some videos very soon of things like practice, band BBQ's, etc, so look out for that stuff and welcome to the internets.
